Christmas Gifts

Other people make beautiful cookies and truffles on lace doilies in cute tins to give for Christmas gifts. That's what I gave out when I lived in the city.

Now? Well... there have been multiple requests for Christmas boudin and fresh sausage.

I wonder how that would look on a doily?

  1. Nothing says "country Christmas" like pork, eh?

  2. I recall being so embarrassed as a child when my Mom sent in a loaf of homemade English Muffin Bread to my teacher at Christmas time. All the other kids were bringing in fancy gifts - lots of wrapping paper, lace, etc - and all I had was a loaf wrapped in plastic wrap with a ribbon around it. Many years later, I found out that the teachers used to gloat when they had a Sutton in their class, because they knew that bread was coming. Guess what Andrew's teacher is getting this year?!
